Auditions

Perform with Bay Area Children's Theatre!

Bay Area Children's Theatre is always seeking enthusiastic actors to join our productions. We stage multiple productions year-round across the Bay Area, but season general auditions are usually held in March. We cast actors of all ages, genders, races, and types throughout the season.

Mainstage Productions

BACT produces 7+ mainstage shows a year. We develop many of our shows in-house, and the majority of our productions are inspired by popular children's books and media. We produce a variety of musicals and plays and are often seeking talented singers, movers, and character actors. Performances are Tue, Thu, and Fri mornings (student matinees) and Sat, Sun mornings and matinees. Our mainstage productions run for anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months.

Theatre for the Very Young

Theatre for the Very Young is a series of multi-sensory story experiences suited for children ages 6-months to 3-years to experience with their parents. The shows are interactive and feature a smaller audience size. Actors who perform in our TVY shows should be comfortable with audience interaction and possess flexibility and an ability to think on the spot. Performances are Fri, Sat, and Sun mornings.

School Tours

Rock the Block is a short, 4-actor musical that tours to elementary schools around the Bay Area to teach students bicycle and pedestrian safety. Actors must be singers, dancers, and early risers! Performances take place throughout the school year at sites in Alameda, Solano, and San Mateo counties.
