Crocodile Junction

Our in-school program, Crocodile Junction, connects creative writing and theatre arts in the classroom. Crocodile Junction brings arts educators to grades 1-2 and 3-5 for 15-week residencies, during which they lead the students in improvisation, theatre exercises, writing, and group theme development to create stories for presentation. For grades 1-2, the program culminates in a final in-class presentation in which every student shares a small portion of the themed story the class has created. For grades 3-5, the curriculum leads to a final performance of the stories and dialogue written by the students and performed by professional actors along with the students at a school-day assembly and an evening performance at the school for families.
